Mosida Lodge at Elberta Valley Ag: Mosida Lodge is located 10 miles north of the little town of Elberta, Utah, just east of the Tintic mountains, known for the many gold, silver and lead mines formally active there. We are on the southwestern edge of Utah Lake and are part of a farm/dairy property owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are open year round for Church and Scout Groups to enjoy retreats, parties, picnics, camping, nature walks, bird watching, and handcart treks. We are surrounded by wildlife and the beauty of the lake and mountains.

Handcart pulls and treks: Mosida Lodge offers handcart pulls and treks from 2 miles to 21 miles in length. We have 20 handcarts available here for rent and for trekking on-site. The trekking trails take you through the marsh reeds and tamarisk by the lake, through fields of alfalfa, wheat and corn (remember, we are a working farm) and through several miles of sagebrush. You may also be crossing areas of former lake bed. There are five encampment areas along the route. You pick how long you want to trek and at which sites you wish to camp. You will probably enjoy the song of the coyote at night and the call of the pheasant cocks in the morning. If you are staying at the lodge, you may rent handcarts for short pulls around the 2 mile loop. Detailed information about each site, as well as polices and planning information can be found in the
General Handbook for Trek Leaders.
